Jebal Shams “Mountain of Sun” is the highest mountain in the region, located in North of Al Hamra town. In the summer, temperature is around 25°C (68°F) making it the perfect place to escape the heat of Muscat. In the winter it can drop to 0°C, prepare for the cold weather and ensure you have warm clothes and the appropriate sleeping bag.
